Due to wear, this was likely issued and actually used for it has a thread-reinforcing repair along the large side hat loop. The tassels are in great shape. This light gray indicated assignment to the Veterans Corps in which injured and debilitated soldiers still could serve in non-combatant roles during the course of the Civil War. This was likely issued and actually used for it has a thread-reinforcing repair along the large side hat loop. The tassels are in great shape.
