#9596 - Original March 10 th 1863 NY Tribune Newspaper
This is an original Tuesday, March 10, 1863 New York Tribune newspaper. It is in solid shape since papers were still made of cotton fiber rather than wood pulp. Thus, they do not crumble or brown like papers since 1900 era. There are 8 pages that relate news, ads, notices of CW era. This on has articles about Tennessee; the War in South; approaching Vicksburg; the Copperheads, etc. (Note that the picture of open paper might not be the exact date since we have several. It is shown as an example of how they fold open) Edges are mildly frayed. No significant stains or tears. This is a very neat read!
