#7682 - 1865 Newark Daily Advertiser Newspaper
This is an original May 1, 1865 newspaper from Newark, New Jersey. Just a couple months after war. Rebel Ram Webb disabled. Johnstons army surrendered. French in Mexico... Has ads for clothes. Talk of regiments & returned soldiers affairs. This was bound into a book. When removed from book, the left side of paper became frayed. There are also small tears. But overall, this is a great piece of reading from immediate post-War. At a cost just over that of a fast food combo meal!
