#7363 - Tintype of Civil War Soldier in Case This is a 1/6 plate Tintype of a Union Private. He has a pompador type hair cut. Pink cheeks. A regal stare. Slight crackle effect to surface but sturdy without bubbling or flaking. Comes in full leatherette case with original period brass mats. Under image is written "D.H. Homan. Mary Homan Miller," but unclear if this is Homan or case later used for this soldier image. Interestingly he wears a small belt buckle that looks like a snake buckle or civilian buckle. But his frock coat is Union military.
