#6700 - April 1864 Newspaper of Burlington, Vermont This is an original copy of the April 18, 1864 Burlington, Vermont newspaper the "Daily Free Press." It is on rag rather than pulp paper so it has not browned. But since it was bound in a folio and then removed later, the edge between the pages is nearly split. Still, it is great for framing. It bears war news, local news, product and personal Ads. Texas Cavalry Repulsed at Rossville, colored troops arriving at Hilton Head, etc.
