#5207 - Union Cap Box This is a CW period Union musket Cap Box. It has a dried crackled look to outer leather but is stable not flaking. Closure tab broken off beyond the hole. Plus, the rear belt loops are gone. Yet the side ears are still present. No wool or pick. No maker's mark. Still it shows well. It could be a nice restoratiom project for a talented leathersmith.
