#4678 - Tintype of two Cigar smoking Union cavalrymen
This is a funfilled 1/8th-plate CDV-sized tintype of two Civil War period Union cavalrymen sitting side-by-side. They each have cigar stumps in the corner of their mouths. One wears a lighter-colored "great coat" and pork-pie hat while the other wears a blue Union kepi. These types of "bad boys" gambling, smoking & carousing images were popular among friends on leave during the war. The tin is in good shape. Very good on focus and ever-so-minimally dark on contrast. Comes in its original CDV "windowed" holder. No ID. No case.
