#3333 - The World - Civil War Paper April 1864
This is pages 3-8 of the New York World newspaper, with eight folded large pages but this one has 12. This was made on rag-based paper, so it does not rot or heavily brown like our modern pulp papers. It does have some moderate age spots with minor edge nips and bottom edge crinkled, but overall, is a solid piece suitable for your files or for wall framing. There is great news of the Great Sanitary Charitable Exhibition, as well as political news, events in New York City such as theaters and shows, classified ads and very cool product ads with current prices. Always fun and interesting reading! Great for students doing projects!
