#3203 - Medium-Sized False Embroidered Kepi Cannon A brass kepi cannon device from just before the Civil War, 2 1/2" wide and 1 3/4" high. It is the officer's false embroidered type. Being worn in by career officer's, these have been excavated at Civil War sites as shown on page 155 of Howard Crouch's book. It is a hard to get variant. It was unissued and probably sold as surplus by Bannerman's Military Supply. Comes in red-felt backed riker case.
