#17574 - Battered Quarter Plate tintype Armed Private This is a quarter plate sized original CW era tintype of a standing Union private in full frock uniform who is holding a musket. The tintype is dark, has multiple bends, scratches and emulsion rubs. But in an odd way it seems "very real" and genuinely historic CW conflict warrior to me. Has masking tape on back with faint writing on it which is likely a photographer's notation or maybe a street address. Would look great on relic shelf with rusted weapons or shells.
