#17345 - Small Tintype of Tormented Soldier If only this tintype could speak! It is a 1/16 th plate of a flamboyant-looking Union cavalryman in a half case. No ID known. But he reminds me of General Picket in the Gettysburg movie! Over the years someone purposely scratched his face! Who was the culprit, an angry child or ticked-off wife? Fortunately, much of his mage remains still. The unknown story is better than the image! About 1 3/4" by 1 1/2". Use your imagination here!!!
