#17158 - Maker Marked Union Cap Box with three caps This is an original Civil War leather Union cap box. It has an inspector's mark from the Ordnance Dept on worn outer flap. On the inside flap is impressed maker's mark by Young & Co. Newark, NJ. This has all the flaps a loops with just some age wear to leather in places. There are three unfired original Civil War caps still inside. the kind used up on Little Round top!
