#16961 - Original Civil War NCO Sword nickel plated GAR This is an original Civil War era NCO Sword. It is tight and intact. It was nickel plated over grip and blade. This was done bu proud veterans who wanted a silvery "glint" when at events and on parade. The grip is still bright nickel. The full length blade has some tarnish beginning but is slick. I chose not to polish it. No makers' markings. This is best for advanced variant collector, or a GAR enthusiast. Sadly, the shipping of swords has gone up because US Mail and UPS get very challenged on anything heavy or over 30" now.
