#16854 - Tintype of ID Union private with a cannon and fort backdrop This is an original CDV-sized tintype photograph of a seated Union private in a frock coat, holding his kepi on his lap. The painted studio backdrop shows images of a cannon and a fortress. There are creases and scratches to this image.On the back in pencil is written Tom Perkins. There were about 50 Thomas Perkins in the Union Army, so it will take some detective work to ID him exactly. No mats or case. (Was bought with tintype #16846, but unclear if the soldiers were actually in contact)
