#16535 - Tintype of Hometown Boy union Soldier This is an original tintype of a young Union recruit in his kepi and ill-fitting frock coat. Stands beside balustrade in a studio. ID and site unknown currently. This is a larger version of CDV sized plate, about 3 5/8" by 2 1/2" which looks a lot like a trimmed sixth plate. Slight darker contrast. A lightened image shown last here for details only. Plate has a soft crease but emulsion sturdy.
