#16302 - Early CW Puppy Paw studs US plate Stafford 1980 This is an early Civil War "Puppy Paw" studs US enlistedman's belt plate recovered in Stafford Field in 1980. It has a deep green black slick patina to face. An edge clipping break as if struck by something sharp. But sturdy. Some lead loss rear but hooks all there with digger's label. Last photo shows a GAR grave marker of a Civil War veteran for interest.
