#16136 - 1855 (1840) Scott Infantry Tactics III book This is an original 1855 edition by Harper & Brothers of Major general Winfield Scott's 1840 Infantry Tactics III manual. The same old war horse who started leading the Union briefly in the Civil War! The book lost it's spine cover in past, so it now has b;lack book tape adhered there for stability. Still a few pages are loose. There are a number of maneuver's & formation fold-out graphics. An old newspaper article General Ewen's Fourth Brigade parade. Worn but interesting. Less common than later Civil War editions.
