#15959 - Tinted Tintype of two seated Union privates This is a CDV-sized original Tintype of two seated Union privates, one younger and one older. The senior looks jaunty and reminds me of Joshua Chamberlain's pipe smoking Sergeant on Little Round Top. Must be his extravagant mutton chops become a beard. Pants tinted a light blue by original photographer. No ID known on these fellows. The tin has some soft bends that cannot be undone safely. Emulsion solid with a small patch of loss at plate edge beside younger trooper. No case.
