#15655 - Battered Cavalrymans Carbine Sling Buckle This is a battered and split Union carbine sling buckle from Central Virginia. It has a dark green black patina. Both tongues present, but one leg of plate snapped. Imagine the force required for that. No markings. A neat survivor of intense warfare!
