#15387 - Fleur de Lis top of bronze crucifix 58 New York camp
This is a bronze Orthodox Christian crucifix recovered in a 58 th New York Regiment camp in Stafford County Virginia. This was a camp with many Polish & Slavic heritage soldiers. Thus, the Orthodox branch. This was discovered buried with a stash of sutler's discarded goods. It has no loop and is solely one arm in Fleur de Lis shape. Cool relic demonstrating soldier's faith in holy protection during war. About 5/8" high.
