#15126 - Scarified Union Enlistedman US Puppy Paw plate This original dug Union "Puppy Paw" stud beltplate shows the savage trauma of warfare. It's brass face has multiple linear gouges and digs over the "US". Metal has a dark chocolate black patina. The rims are battered with nicks. But lead is solid on rear around the two puppy paw studs and hook. Site unknown. This victim of ware seems to have been trampled by an Army or dragged along a gravel road by a team of passing horses. If you like "been there" and "war torn" then this one is for you!!!
