#14964 - Great Confederate clip corner plate This is a local shop-made, heavy brass "clip corner" belt plate., Fashioned in South to meet excessive sudden need for belt plates for troops. No markings. Has corrosion on one section of face with a tiny pin hole. Yet very solid. There is an edge nick to plate. Best part is the hand-built 8 small brass hooks which were once used to bind it to leather. Great!
