#14187 - Sixth plate Tintype trooper with red piping on jacket This is a 1/6-th plate tintype of a young Union private with slicked hair. His uniform has red-accented piping for Artillery service. His buttons and pinky ring are high-lighted in gold. Comes with original fancy brass mats, one of which is marked Waterbury by maker. No ID is yet known. However, some name written in pencil inside case- not sure if soldier or photographer reference there... The contrast is darker. Housed in a half of a leatherette case with bird motif.
