#13152 - Original September 1861 New York Herald newspaper This is an original New York Herald 8-page newspaper from September 4th, 1861 just into the first year of the war. One header says Union troops are "eager for battle" (still...) An article describes the wreck of Privateer Jeff Davis off Florida. Besides local NYC news and cool ads, this has CW news. There are small tears at folds and edges but easy to read.
