#12820 - September 1862 New Jersey Newspaper This is an original newspaper from Newark, New Jersey on September 9th, 1862. "The Sentinel of Freedom." It is four large pages filled with Civil War news, foreign and local articles, and period ads. Paper has some folds, creases and foxing. This one also has a small wear-through tear at a fold (see picture), so price reduced. It is still sturdy and quite readable. Very interesting! New Jersey papers are not common from CW era...
