#1239 - Main Spring Vise: Excavated This is an excavated Main Spring Vise, used to hold the tensed spring during replacement into lockplate firing mechanism. Usually the Sergeants or Supply Officers had these available. This is nice looking. Site unknown; but I've got it narrowed down to America!
