#11452 - Dug Puppy Paw US Belt Plate from Virginia This is a Union soldier's "US" belt plate found on private land with permission at a CW campsite in Virginia. It is the earlier CW "puppy paw" stud version. No hook. Has medium brown patina to face with traces of Virginia soil. Rim has some dings and minor splits. Most of rear lead remains.
